NEXTGEN Ministry
NextGen is the name of our ministry to students from elementary to high school. We do many things to reach and disciple children and teenagers, but usually, this refers to our service at The Oaks every other Wednesday night (opposite HomeGroups). We begin at 6 PM with pizza and finish around 7:45 PM. After getting dinner, our younger kids separate from our youth.
KIDSMIN
KidsMin is the name of our ministry for children from kindergarten through elementary. They meet downstairs. The check-in at the table in the foyer will have small group teaching for their age in a classroom and music and activities as a large group in the auditorium. They use the New City Catechism for Kids curriculum, which teaches them basic doctrine by memorizing key Scriptures and concise questions and answers. This is a great resource for parents to use in the spiritual formation of their children.
ROOTS YOUTH GROUP
Roots Youth Group in junior high and high school meet every other Sunday evening at The Oaks starting at 6 pm. They have their own games, relationship building, prayer, and teaching. Like Home Groups, most weeks, they discuss the text from the prior Sunday’s sermon and apply it to their lives as teenagers. They also plan events such as retreats and camp, as well as relationship building and outreach activities.
